Our Collective Worship value for March is FRIENDSHIP

Thank you to those parents who have taken the time to complete the questionnaires that were sent home before half term. Over the next week I will be looking closely at the responses and putting in a place actions that can begin to deal with any issues that have been raised.
Parent Teacher Interviews have taken place this week and it has been great to see so many parents in school. If you have not had a chance to speak with your child’s class teacher please arrange to do so.

We have taken part in a variety of School Games Events over the past two weeks. From Football to netball to badminton. The children have all competed brilliantly – some for the first time ever and despite a few nerves, everyone has tried their hardest and worked really well as a team. Congratulations to the Girls Football team who were third in their event.

On Wednesday St James had a very exciting visit from a prize winning author – Mini Gray. Mini showed us her new book, The Bad Bunnies Show. We met lots of interesting characters as well. We all enjoyed Mini’s visit and we hope she did too.

Thank you to the Friends of St James who have kindly funded this visit.

We have head lice in school again. Please make sure that you check your child’s head regularly and treat if necessary. Often the most effective treatment is conditioner and a fine tooth comb. Even better is prevention, if your child has long hair please make sure it is tied up when they are in school.

Please ensure your child has the correct PE kit in school everyday. Each child needs a white T-shirt, navy or black shorts, trainers, jogging bottoms and a hoodie for outside games if the weather is cold.
