St James Primary School Newsletter
Respect Perseverance Trust
29th March 2018
The end of term has arrived and I wish you all a Happy Easter. I hope you all have a great break and we look forward to seeing everyone refreshed and ready for the Summer Term on Monday 16th April. The inter merit group challenge was won by Ghillie Dhu (blue) this term – they win an out of uniform day on Friday 20th April.
We are changing the procedures with regard to administering medication in school. You will shortly be receiving a letter explaining the changes we have made. If your child requires medication during the school day please make sure you complete the appropriate forms.
You should all have received a letter about Parent Mail and Parent Pay. Please register with Parent Mail from Wednesday 28th March. Going forwards this will be the only way we contact you, so registering is vital. It will also enable you to pay for trips, visits and school dinners online. I am sure you will agree that this is a step forwards and will make life easier for everyone.
Hopefully you have all received a letter from Mr Spiers, regarding the expansion work at St James. We are very excited to be able to finally begin to plan for a new extension to the school. As soon as we have official plans and diagrams we will be holding an open afternoon and evening for parents and carers to come and have a look at what will be changing in school. Watch this space.
Thank you for all the Easter Egg donations that have been received in school. If you haven’t already purchased your raffle tickets please see a member of the Friends of St James committee. Every ticket is guaranteed a prize!
Sport Relief on Friday was a brilliant day in school. Children came to school in a variety of brilliant sporting clothing and enjoyed a day of sporting activities. Thank you to Mrs Hope who organised a sporting mile on the village playing field for Key Stage 2. Altogether we raised £138.25

Additional days during School Holidays are available if wanted. We pay at least £8.75 per hour for staff with suitable qualifications or experience.
