Respect Perseverance Trust

As we come to the end of the first term of the year, I would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone for their support and positive comments in what has been a long and tiring 8 weeks for everyone. As a staff we are delighted to see how enthusiastic the children are when returning to school after what has been such a long break for some of them. I would like to wish everyone a restful half term break and we will see you all refreshed and re-energised on Tuesday 3rd November.

If, over half term, any of the children become unwell and receive a positive result with a Covid-19 test, do please contact the school office via email. This will enable us to contact anyone who has been in close contact and needs to self isolate as a result. Thank you as ever, for your continued support in these tricky times.

After half term we will continue with Forest School and Outdoor learning for the vast majority of classes. Please make sure that your child has the appropriate clothing for these outside activities. You would be amazed at the number of children coming to school on wet weather days without water proof coats or wellies. I would also like to remind you that ALL LONG HAIR needs to be tied up when children are in school. This will not only make sure that your child remains safe during different activities, but also that head lice are not spread as readily.

No jewellery is allowed for PE lessons. This is a rule that is in place for the safety of all children. If your child has pierced ears, they need to be able to remove their ear rings independently. If they cannot do this, please remove ear rings before they come to school.

At the end of the day, please do not arrive before 3.05pm so that we can help to prevent parents from school and preschool mixing. The less adults we have on the front playground the easier it is to adhere to social distancing guidelines – please consider this when you pick up your child.
