Respect Perseverance Trust

A huge thank you for all of the donations made for the virtual Harvest Festival yesterday. All the children in school were a part of their class contribution and Mrs Smith kindly made these into a video that all children have watched. This will also be sent to parents, so that you can see the children in action. The food donations will be collected by the Foodbank today. We have also collected £50 in cash donations, so we are looking at what we will be able to provide for communities in need with this money.

Part of the government guidance to keep schools safe during the current pandemic, is that rooms should be well ventilated. As the weather gets colder, we will of course put the heating on in school, but we will be required to have the windows open to ensure sufficient ventilation. Please make sure your child has a school jumper in school at all times. We will also be allowing children to wear their school hoodies in the classroom as a further layer to stay warm.

Last week the children watched video clips that some children had made explaining why they thought they would be good members of the school council. The whole school then voted and the results of the ballot are in. In several classes there was a tie and so we have decided to have both children on the school council. School Council for this year will be: Cian, Emma, Isla, Poppy, Dylan, Luke, Amelie, Naomi and Pippa. Well done to all children who made videos for the virtual hustings. The first job of the school council will be to help us to create a virtual tour of the school for prospective parents, as I am unable to show people around school at the present time.
