What a busy time we are having in school recently. With the gradual lifting of restrictions, we are slowly returning to some semblance of normal and have begun to book visits and visitors for term 6. Do keep an eye out for communication about these for your child.

Our Big Question – Why are the United States of America so special?
Our topic this term is all about the United States of America, so far we have been learning about the 50 states and how they are all so different.
Did you know?
1. On the American flag there are 50 stars for the 50 states and 13 stripes for the 13 original colonies.
2. In Arizona, it is illegal for a donkey to sleep in a bath tub. But don’t worry your donkey is allowed to stand in one.
In English, we are reading Holes in depth and are really enjoying it. It is about a boy called Stanley and he has gone to a place called Camp Green Lake where they have to dig a hole every single day, but what are they really digging for?
Lots of us think it will be fun to dig holes everyday but some of us aren’t so sure about the hot Texan sun!
Our topic in science is all about materials, yesterday Miss Dade gave us 24 different objects and we needed to sort them in five different ways. We thought about words like: transparent, solid, magnetic and conductivity.
In French we are learning about people’s appearance. The following sentences are all about hair.
J’ai les cheveux châtains.
J’ai les cheveux ondulés.
