Dear Parents and Carers,
We were really pleased and excited to share the final Ofsted Report with you all yesterday. As you are aware we were unable to share the outcome with you until the final report had been presented, thank you for your patience in this respect.
As a school we are very proud of the result. The Ofsted inspector took the time to listen to staff, governors, parents and children and she really understood the journey that we are on. She took the time to learn about our school and the report and comments are consistent with our own judgements on our school, and current position.
The report rightly comments on the strong team ethos amongst the staff and on our positive relationship with the Vale Academy Trust (VAT). Teaching staff could not have worked harder to make sure that the inspector fully understood life at St James. Support from the VAT was also invaluable. Our communication and relationship with the VAT continues to evolve. Whilst we maintain our autonomy as a school, our membership of the VAT is a real strength of the school.
Thank you for the fantastic parent comments. It was great to hear how you see the school and the progress being made. As a reminder, you are able to fill in the parent view survey at anytime. The survey is constantly live, not just at Ofsted time.
As always, I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about the report.
What a great start to the academic year!
